Lead developer and editor

Rob Brautigam

Systems and AI engineer, founder of Brauto Labs, and co-founder and CTO of Brand Alchemy.

Rob Brautigam builds the systems that let a company run on software instead of on its founder. As the lead developer and editor of Semi Secret, he builds the site, decides what it covers, and answers for every guide published under his name.

He is the founder of Brauto Labs, a fractional AI, systems and CTO company that builds the Company OS for founder-led businesses doing $2 million to $25 million a year: one source of truth the company owns, then the cockpit the team works in, then the automations and AI agents. More than 40 production services built and operated by Brauto Labs run businesses today.

He is also co-founder and CTO of Brand Alchemy, a personal branding agency that turns experts and founders into industry authorities.

His work is AI-native. He orchestrates AI coding agents, Claude Code among them, and he builds in public: his open-source projects on GitHub include an orchestrator that runs many AI coding agents in parallel on one codebase, a bridge that lets any AI agent drive a real, signed-in browser, and a starter kit of Claude Code skills and rules.

Before software, he was a civil engineer. He graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Engineering in 2013 and worked in geotechnical and environmental engineering on job sites across Manhattan and the Northeast until 2016, when he left to build businesses of his own. Since then he has coached more than 2,000 entrepreneurs, spoken on stages in front of thousands of people, and been featured in Yahoo Finance, AOL, MSN and GoBankingRates.

Semi Secret is where that experience meets everyday readers: what the tools you already have can do, and how to put them to work. Guides are drafted with AI tools, Claude among them, checked against the makers' own help pages, and published under his name as editor.
