How every guide is checked
The four rules each guide passes before it is published, and again whenever a setting moves.
A guide is only useful if its paths are right on the phone in your hand. These are the rules the desk follows.
- Every path is checked against the maker's own help pages, which the guide lists under its sources, and the guide says so when menus differ between phones.
- Every guide shows the date it was last updated, and it is checked again after each major system update.
- Sponsored posts are labeled as sponsored at the top.
- A mistake is fixed in the guide itself, and the fix is dated.
