The Semi Secret Software FAQ, from the archive

This is not the studio's support page. Canabalt's App Store pages and the Hundreds website both sent players here for support; the studio's FAQ is gone, so this page keeps its questions and gives answers that still hold on a phone today.

Semi Secret is an independent publication, not the studio that made these games; this page is an unofficial account written from the public record.

Is this the support page for Canabalt or Hundreds?
No. Semi Secret is an independent publication. The studio that made the games, Semi Secret Software, used this address until about 2014. For help with a purchase, use the store's own help: Apple's Report a Problem page, or your order history in Google Play. For the game itself, use the developer contact on its current store page.
Why doesn't Wurdle register my words?
Wurdle reads a word as you drag one finger across the letter tiles, and it counts the word when you lift your finger. That was the studio's own answer.
I just bought one of the games and it crashes. What can I do?
Restart the phone first, which frees memory a game may need. On an iPhone with Face ID, press and hold the side button and either volume button until the power-off slider appears, slide it, then press the side button again to turn the phone on. On an iPhone with a Home button, press and hold the side or top button instead.
It still crashes after a restart.
Delete the app and download it again from the same account; a store does not charge twice for an app you already bought. A game made between 2008 and 2013 may also simply not run on a current version of iOS or Android if it was never updated, and no restart changes that.
Hundreds lost my progress.
The studio's FAQ described a known bug that affected only version 1.2.1 of Hundreds and could erase progress, and it offered to open every level for players who wrote in, so they could pick up where they left off.
Canabalt is open source?
Partly. In December 2010 the studio published Canabalt's source for iOS: the engine under the permissive MIT license, the game's own code, art, music and sound kept proprietary. Our page on the release explains what that split means.
